Holy Mass Reservation
To celebrate Holy Mass in the Orvieto Cathedral, please make your reservation here.
Regulations for celebrations in the Orvieto Cathedral
- Celebrants and participants in the Holy Mass may only enter from the left side of the Cathedral, through the doors of the Holy Corporal or the Crypt;
- Celebrants and participants must remain in the designated celebration area and are not permitted to tour the Cathedral;
- Prior to the celebration, the celebrant must report to the Sacristy and present himself to the designated personnel;
- The priest must provide his Celebret at the request of the designated personnel;
- The celebration must begin at the time indicated in the reservation;
- Any accompanying person must remain available for the duration of the group's stay in the Cathedral;
- The celebration must not exceed 40 minutes in duration;
- The Holy Mass will ordinarily be celebrated according to the Latin Catholic rite. The use of other rites within the Catholic liturgical traditions requires authorisation from the Diocesan Bishop;
- Requests for organ music during the liturgy, as well as the presence of an outside organist, must be approved beforehand by the Opera del Duomo. Such requests must be submitted exclusively via email to culto@duomodiorvieto.it;
- Cancellations of reservations must also be communicated exclusively via email to culto@duomodiorvieto.it.
